Alhamdulillah! The IEC Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the 2026 IEC Educational Scholarship for students in our community who are pursuing higher education. This scholarship serves as a small token of appreciation for the hard‑working and meritorious students of our community.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Belong to the Shia Ithna‑Ashari community of Greater Houston
- Be graduating high‑school seniors in 2026
- Be continuing their education at a college, university, or technical institution
Application Requirements
In addition to a 450‑word essay highlighting academic achievements, clearly defined career goals, and service to the community, applicants must submit the following documents:
- Copy of SAT score (minimum score: 1200)
- Copy of high‑school transcripts (final, or up to the last quarter)
- Letter from the school counselor confirming graduation in 2026
Submission: All documents must be electronically sent to IEC Scholarship Committee and all questions can be directed to the IEC Scholarship Committee.
Application Deadline: Applications that are incomplete or received after June 7, 2026 will not be considered.
