Across the Twin Cities, families, students, and mosques are experiencing fear and intimidation as ICE activity escalates and anti-Somali rhetoric intensifies. Over the past week, Operation Metro Surge has announced heavy enforcement presence into our neighborhoods resulting in arrests, protests, and deep uncertainty for thousands of people.
When fear spreads, CAIR-Minnesota shows up.
We are in full rapid-response mode:
Answering emergency legal calls from families in crisis
Providing Know Your Rights trainings and materials in multiple languages
Intervening when civil rights are violated
Coordinating with legal partners to pursue accountability and litigation
Standing between our communities and those who seek to intimidate, silence, or disappear them
This is what movement work looks like in real time.
It is urgent, it is relentless, and it requires resources.
Your End-of-Year gift ensures these systems remain fully operational — not tomorrow, not next month, but right now, when families are calling in fear and uncertainty.
And if you’ve already given — thank you. Truly. We ask one more thing:
Please share this appeal with a friend, family member, or colleague and invite them to stand with you. Movements grow when people bring others with them.
Every contribution — small or large — moves us closer to meeting this moment with strength, clarity, and resolve.
As we close out the year, your support allows CAIR-Minnesota not only to respond to today’s crisis, but to prepare for continued enforcement and legal battles in 2026.
Thank you for believing in this work.
Thank you for standing with our community when it matters most.
In solidarity and gratitude,
